The Company

Ingles Markets began in 1963 as a single supermarket and has since grown into a regional grocery store chain with just under 200 retail locations operating in 6 southeastern states, a 1.6-million-square foot distribution center, two truck fleets, and a milk processing plant. Ingles Markets’ headquarters and distribution center are located just 15 minutes outside of Asheville, NC in the town of Black Mountain.

The Position

The Sales Audit Clerk will assist in verifying incoming cash to sales on a daily basis.  The clerk will verify deposit slips, check money order reports, verify sales and receivables, balance store sales, and complete data entry. Additionally, the clerk will complete administrative duties, such as mail distribution, answering phones, preparing coupons for shipping, and other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have strong time management, organizational, and customer service skills. The candidate should also have a minimum of a High School Diploma and will need strong basic mathematic skills.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, filing, and 10-key calculator is preferred.
