Network Administator

Job Summary:

The Network Administrator II is an integral member of the Ingles Network Operations Center (NOC) team responsible for the design, implementation, testing and support of all voice and data network segments ranging from retail store locations to distribution warehouse facilities, corporate office complexes, core data centers and cloud-hosted collocation environments.

As a member of the NOC, this position will provide resolution guidance to other teams within the Ingles IT department. The selected candidate will participate and take the lead on projects to support and improve network and IT infrastructure, oversee the maintenance and support of all networking systems and appliances, and work closely with the Ingles InfoSec team to detect and mitigate perceived network security risks.

 

Job Duties:

- Participate in large scale projects to improve the availability, security, performance, and stability of the enterprise network topology.

- Ensure all production network equipment hardware and firmware versions remain in compliance through scheduled code upgrades and hardware refresh cycles.

- Facilitate the distribution and management of token-based MFA VPN connectivity.

- Act as tier-3 escalation resource for troubleshooting network related production issues.

- Perform approved configuration modifications to network systems and equipment by using change management methodologies.

 

Education, Skills and Experience:

- 5+ years experience working with enterprise-class network and security systems (Aruba wireless/Airwave/Clearpass, Cisco wireless/Catalyst/Nexus/ACI, Palo Alto firewall/Panorama, F5 BIG IP, GCP).

- Experience configuring and supporting private WAN topology, dynamic routing protocols, point to point encryption and next-gen edge security appliances.

- Experience deploying and maintaining access/distribution/core layer LAN topology, VLAN segmentation, ACLs, High Availability/Redundancy protocols, ethernet cable management and terminations.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, complete tasks and assignments in a timely manner, solve complex technical problems, perform in a team environment, and work independently.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other appropriately related field. Equivalent industry certifications preferred.

 

This position will participate in an after hours on-call rotation and requires occasional hands-on duties at our corporate headquarter facilities. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are preferred.
