Money and Banking Supervisor

The Company

Ingles Markets began in 1963 as a single supermarket and has since grown into a regional grocery store chain with just under 200 retail locations operating in 6 southeastern states, a 1.6-million-square foot distribution center, two truck fleets, and a milk processing plant. Ingles Markets’ headquarters and distribution center are located just 15 minutes outside of Asheville, NC in the town of Black Mountain.

The Position

The Money and Banking Supervisor is responsible for supervising three staff members and ensuring store deposits are posted correctly and in a timely fashion. The supervisor also processes sales reports for all Vice Presidents daily, as well as prints payment checks for vendors and processes gift card orders. Additionally, the supervisor will approve and pay bank analysis bills, deposit via remote deposit capture, retrieve and upload bank BAI files, and prepare drafts in order to be distributed. This role will also involve administrative and other assigned duties to ensure the department runs efficiently.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision effectively and efficiently, and has strong time management, organizational, and customer service skills. The candidate should also have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field, 1- 4 years of accounting or comparable experience, with at least 1 year of supervisor experience, preferred. Must be able to communicate and work well with associates of all levels and provide outstanding customer service to business partners.  Previous experience with SAP is a plus.  Strong computer skills which should include proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to quickly learn other in-house applications.
