Shipping - 2nd & 3rd Shift Switcher Driver

Milkco is seeking 2nd & 3rd Shift Switcher Drivers to work in our shipping yard (CDL is not required). Our switcher drivers work 10 hours, 4 days a week right here in Asheville, so you are home every day, after every shift.

The work schedule runs on a two-week cycle and every other week has a full 3 days off in a row, with at least 40 hrs total every week.

The Switcher Driver is responsible for:

• Moving trailers around the shipping yard.
• Recording trailer temperatures and yard inventory.
• Washing trailers.
• General shipping yard management.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be self-motivated to do whatever needs to be done each day.
• Be punctual and reliable.

Employment Requirements:

• Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Physical (provided by Milkco).
• Will conduct a Criminal Background Check.
• Must pass an E-Verify Screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather.

Experience:

• Will train the right person.
• Prefer that applicants have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must want to work and have excellent attendance.
• Need to be cooperative and able to get along with a lot of people.
• Must be a team player with the ability to contribute in a team atmosphere
