Plant Engineer

Milkco is seeking a Plant Engineer to oversee our maintenance & facilities department. The Plant Engineer will provide engineering support for the plant, to include project management, production and equipment improvements and daily support of plant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and directs activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery. This includes:
- Industrial manufacturing equipment, including processing and packaging systems
- Allen Bradley PLCs with RSLogix 5000 and RSLogix 500
- Electrical controls circuitry (AC/DC power supplies, VFDs, relays, motors, & servos)
- Industrial ammonia refrigeration system
- Ensure and facilitate that new equipment and related activities are defined and documented in compliance with industry standards, including FDA, GMP, OSHA and HAACP.
- Provide technical support for plant processes and improvements.
- Managing capital projects to be completed on-time and on-budget.
- Effective communication with the rest of the management team, including proactive suggestions for continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate has:
- A BS degree in an Engineering field, or equivalent education, experience and training
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership in manufacturing operations, with applicable experience in food processing Industry preferred.
- Proficiency reading and developing electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/diagrams.
Employment Requirements:
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Physical (provided by Milkco).
- Will conduct a Criminal Background Check.
- Must pass an E-Verify Screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand a minimum of 7 ½ hours per day.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs without assistance.
- Extended periods of overhead lifting, kneeling, bending, stooping, climbing and other related movements may be required.
